I removed the connectors going from this small board to the main big board and resoldered them ( they are 2 little black female connecters, one on either side which have 5 legs soldered onto the board these connecters slot into the main board. It was showing a red padlock and not communicating anymoreĪnyhow i opened it all up and resoldered over all the connections where the main cable plugs into it but still no joy then i took it apart again and where the cable plugs into( the single one not the one near power supply) this board comes off the main circuit board so your left with a little board with 2 black female adapters on one side and the main plug on the other

Hi guys had a problem with mine software would'nt detect it eventhough all lights were flashing on it and it used to work fine Try check this cable if PINs 2,6,7,10,14 - data and PINs 4,5 - ground 16 - battery and 13 programming voltage are connected to pins in connector on VCM side. Older Ford cars up to 2005 used J1850PWM (Ford SCP) protocol, pin 2 and 10 on DLC, ABS, Airbag use PIN 7 - ISO9141-2 protocol. What car can you connect? Maybe there is problem in cable from VCM to DLC,īecause different protocols use different PINs in DLC and there is possibility that some pins aren't connected to VCM.
Quality of clones is very low and your picture of spare cable confirm it. I think that this is typical problem with chines clones. That cable never worked and today i disassembled it to see if there is something wrong.Įven the number of the pins are different. Off topic: First time i thought it was the cable, and ask the stupid chinese supplier to send another cable. I will do a downgrade to an older version. Although there were cars that i could connect to, at the begining and even now, after using ClearVCM Util. This is the version that came first with the VCM, and from the begining it did not worked.

Last night, I browse youtube wishing to find VCM vedio and download a vedio demonstration teach me how to install Ford IDS VCM driver step by step. Now i want to try to see if in LAND ROVER is doing the same, but i dont know how to install it because on the v121 dvd are some files and i have no ideea wich one i have to run first. To the other two cars it can not connect and it turns this error that i attached. It connects automatic and it sees the car only on FIESTA and it works fine, but only if you connect the usb to laptop and then to car. Hi guys, I have bought from China a VCM clone, v70 for FORD/MAZDA and v121 for JAGUAR/LAND ROVER.įirst of all the installation instructions, that the supplier gave me, had nothing to do with the v70 edition, after all, i tryed to install it by myself, first the IDS v70 and after that the Calibration.Īfter installation is done i connected it to 3 cars, a FIESTA 1.3 after 1998, TRANSIT 2.4 after 2001 and MONDEO 2.0 after 2004.
